Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren will meet with the Sacramento Kings at the start of free agency with the intention of structuring a sign-and-trade agreement, reports Prime Video's Chris Haynes.
Duren, a restricted free agent, has apparently been underwhelmed by the Pistons' offers thus far.
Any deal with the Kings would likely send Domantas Sabonis back to Detroit, sources told Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Duren is scheduled for a call with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Amick reports, citing sources. The Lakers' interest in the Pistons center follows Deandre Ayton reportedly picking up his $8.1-million player option for the 2026-27 season.
The 22-year-old Duren is fresh off a breakout 2025-26 campaign that saw him earn his first All-Star nod and land a spot on the All-NBA third team.
Duren averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and two assists on 65% shooting in 70 regular-season contests. He was a key figure on a Pistons roster that finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference (60-22). The fourth-year forward struggled mightily in the playoffs, however.
The Memphis product is eligible for a five-year, $287-million max contract following his All-NBA selection.
