The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-hander Abner Uribe on the 15-day injured listed with a right forearm flexor strain, the team announced Friday.
The transaction is retroactive to Aug. 11.
Uribe said he started to feel discomfort after pitching in back-to-back outings last weekend. He added that everything "came back good" during imaging.
"It's a couple days of rest and then get back to work," the 26-year-old said, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Uribe, who's authoring a 2.05 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 49 appearances this season, is an important piece in Milwaukee's bullpen. The setup man for Trevor Megill also sits in the 91st percentile or higher in hard-hit percentage, ground-ball percentage, expected ERA, and fastball velocity.
The Brewers recalled right-hander Grant Anderson from Triple-A Nashville to take Uribe's spot on the active roster.
Milwaukee entered Friday with the highest winning percentage in the National League.
