He set the record by notching the primary assist on a power-play goal from Brayden Point in the first period.

Kucherov, who's spent his entire 13-year career in Tampa Bay, reached the mark in his 890th career game. Stamkos suited up in 1,082 games with the Bolts. He held the record since 2022 when he passed Martin St. Louis.
A second-round pick by the Lightning in 2011, Kucherov won his second career Hart Trophy last season. He's also won three Art Ross Trophies and two Stanley Cups in his storied career.
The Mammoth went on to win the game 5-4 in overtime.
Kucherov has four goals and 10 assists through 11 games so far on the young season.
