Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson wired a slap shot for the 3-2 overtime winner in Friday's Game 3 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Canadiens grabbed a 2-1 series lead with the victory.

Hutson now has two career playoff goals after the 22-year-old netted his first in Game 2.

All three games in the series have been decided in overtime. Juraj Slafkovsky won Game 1 for the Canadiens, and J.J. Moser netted the decider in Game 2 for Tampa Bay.

"No complaints, extra hockey," Hutson told Sportsnet's Kyle Bukauskas postgame. "It's fun to compete versus these guys, they've got a great team. Two good teams going at it. We'll see what continues to go on."

Montreal's Kirby Dach tied Friday's contest in the second period after he assisted on Alexandre Texier's opening goal in the first.

Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel scored for Tampa Bay. Hagel now has four goals and five points in the series.

Jakub Dobes made 15 saves in the victory, while Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 26 of 29.

Game 4 is Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
