Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield dislocated his right thumb late in the team's 23-16 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, head coach Todd Bowles said postgame, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.
Mayfield will undergo an MRI on Monday, Bowles added. The best-case scenario is that he'll miss two-to-four weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The worst-case scenario is that he tore ligaments in his thumb and is out for the foreseeable future.
Mayfield suffered the injury on a pass attempt in the fourth quarter and grabbed his right thumb as he left the field.

Undrafted quarterback Jalon Daniels replaced Mayfield for Tampa Bay's final possession, but he failed to complete a pass in three attempts, including a desperation game-sealing interception.
The Buccaneers are now 0-3 for the first time since 2014.
Mayfield entered Sunday's game with 398 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and one interception through his first two appearances of the season.
He went 17 of 34 and threw for 217 yards to go along with one touchdown and one interception against the Vikings.
