Commanders reveal new uniforms for 2026 season
The Washington Commanders unveiled new uniforms for the 2026 season Wednesday inspired by the franchise's Super Bowl era.
Washington's set features white and burgundy jerseys as the primary looks. The club also introduced an alternate black jersey called the "Hail Raiser."
The alternate uniform features a new logo on the matching helmet with a spear piercing the "W."
Both the burgundy and white jerseys can be worn with the franchise's classic gold pants, which will now feature two stripes. The primary uniforms will be paired with a glossy burgundy helmet featuring the signature three-stripe pattern and a gold facemask.
"We've been very purposeful in trying to bring back the celebration and integration of our heritage while continuing to move forward to build the Commander brand," Commanders team president Mark Clouse said of the new uniforms, according to ESPN's John Keim. "It's extremely important that the elements of those things are brought together."
The franchise won three Super Bowls from 1982-91 but has only appeared in the NFC Championship Game once since (2024).
