Prairie View rolls past Lehigh, will face Florida in 1st round
Dontae Horne scored 25 points with seven rebounds and four steals as Prairie View A&M topped Lehigh 67-55 in their First Four matchup Wednesday.
Prairie View advances to play No. 1-seeded Florida in the NCAA Tournament's first round.
The result is the Panthers' first-ever win at the NCAA Tournament after losing their opener in two previous trips.
Prairie View's Cory Wells added a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, along with three steals and three blocks.
Hank Alvey led the way for Lehigh with 23 points and a team-high 15 rebounds.
Lehigh's leading scorer, Nasir Whitlock, finished with five points on 2-of-15 shooting. The last time Whitlock did not reach double figures in a game was when he had two points in a 69-47 loss at West Virginia on Nov. 9.
